COLTech robotics 9059

Welcome

COLTech Robotics is a second-year FIRST Robotics Team based in Queen Creek, AZ. We are a collective of 7th-12th grade students at Casteel High School. Utilizing all four elements of S.T.E.M., we collaborate in an effort to build and compete in robotics competitions. Most importantly, we strive to be an inclusive learning experience that is both fun and engaging.

COLTech's mission is to Cultivate Outstanding Leaders of Tomorrow (COLT).

What is FIRST?

“Think of FIRST as a catalyst in a chain reaction. Each collision releases human potential which feeds an exponential expansion of additional human potential. FIRST students seize this opportunity by being informed, being creative, and thinking hard – all three, all the time.” - Dr. Woodie Flowers, FIRST Executive Advisory Board Chair Emeritus and Distinguished Advisor

We compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). FIRST has two main guiding principles: Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition. Gracious Professionalism, coined by the late Dr. Woodie Flowers, is an ethos that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community in pursuit of a meaningful life. Coopertition is displaying unqualified kindness and respect in the face of fierce competition.

Of course, none of this would be possible without COLTech's gracious sponsors:

         Jayko Transportation

Families of Casteel High School

     Valley Robotics Program

Huge thanks to all of our sponsors!
